Jacksons Butchers purchase top Rouge X Pen at Fat Lamb Competition

The NI Rouge Club held their Fat Lamb Show and Sale in Ballymena Livestock Market at the weekly sale on Wednesday 8^th July. Judge for the competition was Mr Sam Carmichael who had twelve pens of (3) Rouge x lambs to judge. John and Fergus Harbinson received 1^st and 2^nd place for their pens of Rouge x Beltex selling in the ring at 22.5kg £89 (395) for 1^st prize pen, buyer Jackson Butchers, Ballynure. The Harbinson’s 2^nd prize pen sold at 21.5kg £85 (395) to K.Black Strabane. Simpson and Calvin, Ballymoney sold their 3^rd prize pen of Rouge x Texel 24kg £75.50 (314) to Ballymena Meats. Pollock & Tannahill, Coleraine sold their unplaced pen of Rouge x Beltex 20kg £69.50 (347) to K.Black Strabane.
