Rouge hits record price of 1,700gns

A new record price was set by the Tullyvallen Flock of A J Graham at the Rouge show and sale at Dungannon Farmers’ Mart in August 2008. The flock’s champion ram lamb Tullyvallen His-Nibs sold for 1,700 guineas. This February triplet lamb, first in the recorded ram class, was sired by the previous record priced ram lam, Ruval Endeavour, and sold to new breeder, Gary Hanna. New breeder Alistair Christie, sold his ram lamb Kilmoyle Hercules for the next highest price of 520gns to the Glengalliagh flock of Moore Hamilton. The Kinsella flock of Graham and Knox sold their top ram lamb for 450gns.

Females sold to 380gns for the reserve champion and best opposite sex, a shearling ewe from Graham and Knox sold to Gary Hanna, who purchased seven females to start his new flock.
